CANADA Week 73-December 19, 2018

Hola le monde! Sorry Pday got pushed back a day, and will be Wednesday the next 2 weeks. This week finished off the transfer, and I was blessed to light up Quebec for another transfer with Elder Rossi :) We got lots of stuffs to do haha. This Christmas season has been a great one, and we hope you all have some goals and plans in mind for Christmas and the upcoming year.

This week I finally got to see President Nelson's address during the Christmas devotional, and he asked some pretty changing question to teach the simple doctrine that God gives unto us what we desire. He asked simply, "What are your desires?" I think that if we honestly reflect on what it is that we desire we can see why we are in the situation that we are in, and what we need to change to be in a better place. I know that if we desire to follow Jesus Christ, God will clear the way so that we may do so. I know that if we follow Jesus Christ we are blessed and prospered and happy. So I hope you all think about Him and follow Him with Christmas coming so soon.

Also, we went and ate at an all you can eat sushi place today with a member, and we ordered WAY too much because of unfortunate circumstances, but if you don't finish it you have to pay more. So we dug in and I am in a state close to death as I write this haha.

I love you all and I love the Canadian people with all my heart. I am happy to be here, and I see the Hands of God while doing His work every day. Don't forget to look for them. Merry Christmas!!!!!!!!

Love,
Elder Wilson

CANADA Week 72-December 11, 2018

Reunited with Elder James!

Allo les gens! This is the first time I have really been able to reflect upon everything that happened this week, and it is humbling to see the goodness of God in my daily life as a representative of Jesus Christ. He is my light and my joy.

We took a road trip to Drummondville this week, and I got to spend some more time with Elder Eggenberger! It was a little wild, because he had arrived in Drummondville just 3 days before, and he didn't have any information on the people in the area, so we just went out and taught those people that The Lord wanted us to. We got into some pretty weird places, and met some incredible people. It was fun to laugh and learn together, and we even tried to set up a soccer night with a bunch of young men from Africa haha. It is wonderful to see how people naturally think more about Christ during the Christmas season.

Rafael was baptized and received the gift of the Holy Ghost this weekend. We have seen his heart change, and have experienced literal miracles with him as he progressed in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I can honestly say that as we follow Jesus Christ we are happy. Rafa is happy, and made many sacrifices to have that joy.

We had zone conference, which means 8 elders in our apartment for the night, so our fridge was emptied and it was a blast haha. We were all able to share experiences that we have had this Christmas season. It was great to learn from them all at the conference, and President and Sister Phillips motivated us and showed us their love as they taught. You are going to have to give them a warm welcome when they get home Mudda, they will be back just a little bit before me.

We invite you all to read the Christmas story (Luke 2), as well as Alma 7:7-13. Think about the unfathomable gift that Christ has given us, and what you could give to Him during this time when we celebrate Him.

We love you!

CANADA Week 71-December 4, 2018

We moved in an African family for Light the World service day.

Hullo! Sorry I actually have 0.1 seconds because we are headed off to Drummondville tonight, so I will keep it short. I wanted to let you know that God gives us what we desire and if we have high expectations for this life we will harvest incredible rewards. We taught a wonderful man named Raphael, and he was struggling with a question, so we promised him that he would receive his answer, kneeled down with him then, and he simply received his answer. God is there, and his promises are real. we just need to follow through with our part. We love you!
